Thank you for stopping by. I’m a Polish-American filmmaker based between Brooklyn, New York, and Warsaw, Poland. My name is pronounced “Mareesha,” as in Mauritius.

I graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and began my career as an art director and creative director, working in Warsaw, Cape Town, and New York before moving behind the camera. My directing career started in New York with short narrative films that screened and won awards at various festivals, including the Brooklyn Film Festival and the Nitehawk Shorts Festival in New York. Today, I work across commercials and independent projects, always looking for the emotional atmosphere of a story first, and building the film around it. I’m drawn to stories with emotional depth, humor, and intimacy, and I enjoy creating heightened visual worlds.
